Craving a coffee, with a piece of cake perhaps?? Forster is the place to be. Beachbums Café right on main beach is the perfect place to watch the dolphins & sip a freshly brewed coffee. Why not duck into Sotos or Shots of Happy on the lake for that coffee break you’ve been looking forward to – Forster hospitality will look after you.
Are you a seafood fan? You will be smiling from ear to ear with your fresh seafood options here in Forster – fresh caught fish, crabs & prawns, all washed down with a cool drink & some fresh lemon – or visit Graham Barclay Oyster Shed & watch the men schuck Wallis Lakes’ famous oysters.

Non-Beach Activities & Things for the Kids
Want to take a day out from the beach? Drive to Whoota Lookout look out & enjoy the view of the whole region with a picnic, be moved by the Green Cathedral, hire a canoe & paddle Wallis Lake or Smiths Lake or visit Myall Lakes National Park. Alternatively head to Gloucester for the day & visit the beautiful Barrington Tops.
Kids over the beach? Visit the local kids attractions for a day out – Forster Kids Spot, Big Buzz Fun Park, Ton O Fun Amusement Family Fun Park or Tree Top Adventure Park – that’ll keep everyone happy! Head to the YMCA Aquatic Club (02 6591 7199) or the Forster Tenpin Bowling Centre (02 6557 6800) for hours of fun for the whole family – all while being healthy!!
Forster Tuncurry is famous for it’s golf options. The Forster course is a par 66 adjoining the famous One Mile Beach providing refreshing sea breezes for players while the Club’s restaurant is just as famous for its great food. The Tuncurry course is a par 72 sandbelt all weather course and has been rated in the top 20 in NSW – leading to visitors travelling far and wide to come play.
Courses in the area for our golfing enthusiasts: Forster Golf Club (3 star, 18 holes); Tallwoods Golf Course (5 star, 18 holes); Tuncurry Golf Club (4 star, 18 holes) plus Tuncurry Driving Range & Aqua Golf and Forster Lions Mini Golf for the little ones.
